I have a very crook Gut that has bothered me for 8yrs, I began my search through the Internet & Doctors plus some wise people.
I suffered Depression & Anxiety, also this Leaky Gut. I had to give up work, then got a divorce,. Now I looked back all my illnesses & troubles became relevant around the same time. Plus at this time I married a Chinese woman who couldn’t cook? (could you believe it).
Then I started a stressful new Job in a Remote Site. I was drinking, smoking, not eating regular or when I ate it was rubbish food. Yes & being ill often I had lots of Antibiotics from well meaning Doctors.
With all this going on & being very ill & just, I mean just serviving. I gave up smoking drinking gambling, sugar ,salt,Divorced the wife & remarried another Chinese women who also could you believe it she never cooked either? Well ten years to now. I now believe in what you are saying about antibiotics & Probiotics makes sense to me as I now think the Gut is tied into all of this including the Depression. My Gut & Farts made me sick, worse than any smell I’ve ever smelt, honestly, it was so vile. So I am this week started my Journey of healthy Veggies, fruit, Yoghurts,Biotics & exercise. Will let you know my results in 5 weeks. Hope anyone else has some good Idea’s let me know.

The one thing I enjoyed about this interview, and Wired To Eat, was the idea around these low level , sub clinical issues that are impacting our health and physique. A big one with hard training athletes is this cortisol dysregulation pattern from not enough sleep/too much training that’s increasing blood sugar. I know it’s a general theme in the podcast as a whole but the entire organism and finding these underlining issues is key.
