For chronic anxiety, I think a useful approach is to ignore the supposed reasons for the anxiety and instead treat the anxiety as a simple message that one’s metabolism is screwed up and the brain is really saying “I don’t have a good power source to be able to meet these challenges.” This is why, when you solve one anxious problem, another one seems to pop up almost immediately.

Maybe you are eating more carbohydrate than you can tolerate; maybe you are preventing the carbs you are eating from being effective because you are eating too much fat with it; maybe you are eating too much or too little protein or calories. Whatever the reason, visualize your liver not being able to pump out enough juice to run the brain and explore how much anxiety you have under different nutritional strategies. Your brain is pretty smart about how to handle whatever comes up so long as it has a good power source, and it probably doesn’t need any additional “training.”
